Back in September, the IRS proposed changes to Form 6765—the form needed to apply for R&D tax credits. The modifications requested more detail about every business component for which qualified research expenditures were claimed, essentially creating additional burdens for taxpayers.  

 Fortunately, stakeholders have responded—and the IRS seems to have listened, releasing a revised draft Form 6765 and reducing some of those initial proposed requirements.
